The award recognises our innovative Net Zero Alignment Assessment Tool (NZAAT), an in-house tool developed and launched last year which supports GAM’s climate plan and net zero engagement strategy.

GAM International Management has been shortlisted for Emerging Manager of the Year at Money Management’s 36th Annual Fund Manager of the Year Awards in Australia.
The awards, in association with research partner Lonsec, are open to all fund managers operating in Australia. The winners will be announced at a gala dinner in Sydney in June.

GAM has been ranked as one of the best Swiss-listed financial services firms for corporate governance in sustainability rating agency Inrate’s annual zRating study for the third year running.
GAM was ranked as fourth best financial services provider out of 30 and ranked 33rd out of 171 companies listed in Switzerland, with 71 out of a possible 100 points. The firm also achieved a score of four out of five for the new sustainability and information policy category.

Jian Shi Cortesi, who manages China and Asia equity strategies, has once again been selected for Citywire’s list of top 30 female managers.
The list is compiled from Citywire’s database of 2108 female fund managers based on managers’ ratings consistency over the last five years.
This is the fifth year that Jian has featured in the Citywire Alpha Female Top 30 list, having also been included in 2017, 2019, 2020 and 2021.

GAM has won a Citywire Gender Diversity Award.
The Citywire Gender Diversity Awards honour fund management groups across the globe that have made progress in getting more women into fund management.
GAM was chosen as the winner in the ‘Best AuM split’ category for asset management firms with 50-100 managers. The category was introduced this year in recognition of those fund groups which have greater parity in the proportion of assets managed by women and men. Winners in this category of the awards were selected purely on a quantitative basis, specifically those firms with the highest proportion of assets managed by women.
Jian Shi Cortesi has won two awards at Investment Week’s Women in Investment Awards. Jian was chosen as the winner in both the ‘Fund Manager of the Year (large firms)’ and ‘International Investment Woman of the Year’ categories.
The Women in Investment Awards honour the inspiring achievements of women across all parts of the UK investment industry with a specific international category.
The ‘Fund Manager of the Year (large firms)’ award is designed to serve as an inspiration for other women to consider a career in fund management. In selecting the winner for the ‘International Investment Woman of the Year’ category, the judges considered Jian’s overall achievements that have positively influenced women and helped attract or retain them in the sector.
The GAM Systematic team won two awards at the HFM European Quant Awards 2021. The awards celebrated the European quant strategies that have shone the brightest over the past year.
GAM Systematic was named winner in both the ‘Systematic macro’ and ‘Multi-alternative risk premia’ categories for its two largest strategies.
In selecting the winners, the judges focused on absolute performance, standard deviation of returns and outperformance of the relevant HFM benchmark. They also considered the strategies’ AuM, investment approach, as well as their track records.

The Alpha Manager list, which is compiled each year by global fund data and technology provider FE fundinfo, identifies and celebrates the top 10 per cent of UK retail-facing managers, based on their entire career performance.
This year, GAM was joint third in the table of fund groups with the most Alpha Managers with a total of six.
